Integrated with Windows Explorer, xTyFileCrypter allows you to encrypt files and folders with a right click inside Windows Explorer. You can use it to encrypt a large number of files, compress and pack them into a single stardard ZIP archive. Once the files are encrypted, you can safely send them through email or other electronic transmission.

What is xTyFileCrypter?

xTyFileCrypter allows you to easily encrypt and decrypt files within Windows Explorer. It uses the latest and most reliable NIST standard Rijndael AES symmetric key encryption technology. Once the files are encrypted, you can safely store them in your computer or anywhere on the Internet, send through email or transmit them without a secure connection.

How to use xTyFileCrypter?

Briefly, after you install xTyFileCrypter, open a Windows Explorer, select the files and folders that you want to encrypt or decrypt, right click on the selected items and select Encrypt or Decrypt from the popup menu item xTyFileCrypter. You can also double click to decrypt individual files.
TIPS: you can hold down the SHIFT key or the CTRL key while you click to select multiple items.

WARNING: You must remember your encryption key. If you forget the key, you will never be able to decrypt the files that you have encrypted.

Is xTyFileCrypter HIPAA-compliant?

Yes. xTyFileCrypter uses the same encryption technology as xTyFTP, and it is fully compatible with xTyFTP.
