Express Scribe is professional audio player software for PC or Mac designed to assist the transcription of audio recordings. It is installed on the typist's computer and controlled using the keyboard (with 'hot' keys) and / or can be used with a transcription pedal. This computer transcriber application features variable speed wave playback, foot pedal operation, file management and more. This program is free.

• Mac version supports wav, mp3, aiff and dct file formats.
• Works with Philips, Sanyo, VoiceIt, Olympus, Lanier, Grundig, Sony and many other digital dictation recorders in addition to the Express Dictate Windows Dictation Software, Phone-In Dictation Software, Pocket PC Dictation Recorders and Palm OS Voice Recorders.
• Loads CD audio directly - you can even begin to listen as it loads in the background.
• Can be integrated into other dictation management systems using the Express Scribe SDK.
• Works with FastFox typing utility to turn difficult medical/legal phrases and common terms into mere shortcuts from your keyboard.

• To use Express Scribe to import files from VoiceIt recorders (SRI) files, you need to download the following zip and extract all the files in it into the folder C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Scribe. Download voiceit.zip that contains files for SRI Support

Express Scribe allow users to load dictations from file, Disc, or directly from a portable dictation recorder (dictaphone).

With Express Scribe you can automatically send the transcribed dictation via email. You can also attach any relevant documents using the 'Attach' feature.
